My daughter was involved in this pageant. This business is based on false advertisement and not full disclosure, hidden costs, unathical staff, bias judging, false statements, and total manipulations of kids and parents. Out of 52 contestants one preditermined girl received all of the awards and prices. This organization is out to take your money and time and takes advantage of the general public. Company like this should not be in business and should be investigated. Go to national american scam to see other comments from actual participants.

  • Having participated in a State Pageant not too awfully long ago, I have to say that you are correct in many of your assessments. Not only was the judging biased, but no one is told that the only chance you have of winning in this state pageant is to have modeling training already. The interview portion was disgraceful- judges not even looking up at the girls, and getting the names wrong, and every judge asking the identical question is not what was promised. This pageant is a lot of money for many people and to not offer services as advertised is sad. All judged contests are based upon judges bias and moods, so that was not a surprise or unique, but the lack of offering what was promised was really bad. There is a lot of untrue slants in the literature. In real application, the girls that win earn a lot of $ for the company through ads, and/or they spend a lot of $ on modeling school, repeat pageants, and other things they don't represent in the literature to begin with. Giving the girls the false notion that this is a natural and low key pageant to find girls with potential was inaccurate. In our state, it was a matter of who already paid a ton to get their training. They were the ones who were taking home almost all of the awards. There were a lot of good experiences and true to life training for our daughter, so it was not a total waste of time, but it was not representative of what was promised for sure. I am glad we did it once as it was a great life lesson. But advertising push (the girls get paid nothing to run footwork for advertising in the same manner adults get paid to do in most companies, which is highly unfair). If they would clean up their act a bit, it could be a much better experience.
