I received an e-mail entitled Human Resourse Dept (time sensitive) informing me of job opportunities. It prompted me to obtain a credit report (free of charge) but asked me for a refundable $1 fee to collect the credit score that should accompany my application. While excited about the potential of the e-mail I decided to google Career Source Staffing and found complaints that felt so close to home that I immdeiately ceased and desisted with going any further with my application. Also, at the bottom of the e-mail of the scammers there was a New York City address but no phone number. The absence of a phone # along told me there was something wrong with this situation. I am new to posting complaints about scammers but believe me I am a great supporter of truth in advertising. What I have learned from this experience is that anyone asking for information about you, even if it seems innocent, is a clear indicator that you should retrieve info about them first before you sumbit your business to potential scammers.
