I ordered shirts from clothing angel and had them sent to my parents' house in USA because the shipping was less expensive. (I live in Europe but was scheduled to visit my parents a month later so I figured I would get the package when I got there.) Then I just sort of forgot about the order for a while. One day I asked my mother if my shirts had ever arrived and she said no but that I had received a package with a Hannah Montana bag in it from China. Of course then I looked into my PayPal account and realized what had happened. When I reported this to PayPal they said that my time to file a claim had run out. That was it. After having done some research online it turned out that PayPal had been having problems with reports of fraud with this merchant for months but had not ever suspended his (her?) account. Why would they have let this seller continue to do business with abandon when there were so many cases of reported fraud? I don't understand why they did nothing to protect honest buyers but instead protected a fraudulent merchant. $266.48 is a ton of money and I'm extremely annoyed that it was more or less just flushed down the toilet. PayPal only is interested in protecting its bottom line I learned because they lose money if a claim that is filed is decided in favor of the buyer. So of course they didn't do a thing to help me. They would have then lost their $266.48 which, as we all know, is an astronomical sum for a tiny little company like PayPal.
