International boundaries

Paid boat storage fees for 4 months, was contacted by building owner that he had not received rent from River City Marine and boat needed to be removed from storage after only 2 months.

Also paid for full winterization and boat was never winterized.

We also have realized that the Owner is in possession of a mat- add $150 to complaint.

In addition, our time and mileage spent chasing this guy down and now having to file with the court as well as online- add indefinate cost to compalint.

Owner's Name is Darryl Henderson, he also has another location in Chesterfield County located on Oak Lake Blvd (behind Southside Speedway).

IMPORTANT REVISION- The business name is Richmond City Marine, NOT River City Marine.

  • Hi Amanda - I think I am having the same problem as you are regarding Darrell Henderson and a boat. May I ask if you have had any progress in locating him or could tell me which storage unit had your boat? Thanks for your help.

  • qstarke: Mr Henderson has yet to return any of my calls or texts. Unfortunately the BBB was unable to assist me. I filed a small claims case with Chesterfield County last week so we will see how far that goes. Our boat was last stored in the MacTavish, Richmond facility until the landlord contacted our lien holder to have it removed. Prior to that, it was stored at Mr. Henderson's Oak Lake, Midlothian shop. As far as I know, he is still conducting business out of the Oak Lake, Midlothian location. Did you need the address or his contact info?

  • Hi there! The only number I've found for him is 441-0828. Do you have other contact information? When I looked up the Oak Lake address, it appeared to belong to K.O. Crete which had gone out of business? At this point, we're just trying to find the boat as no one ever contacted us about having it removed. Any contact information you have would be greatly appreciated!! Do you happen to have the number of who called you to have the boat removed? Also, I'm so sorry for your troubles. Thanks for your reply!

  • Darrel is still very much in business at the Oak Lake location. What type of boat are you looking for. I can tell you if it's there or not. I go by that way every day on my way to the gym. I do not have the previous landlord contact information but I do have a mobile number for Darrell of 551-4026 if you want to try that. Good luck and let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

  • Rmc, unfortunately I've had no luck. I have a court date set for next month but doubt he'll show. The best we can hope for at this point is to put him out of business. I'm hoping to be able to use this site as additional proof that this guy is a scam artist.
