In November 2011 I cancelled the service with Direct TV. When I cancell the service they told me I will be getting the last invoice. Sure enough I received the invoice with a balance of $26.60. On December 2nd, 2011 I sent a check to paid the final bill. Then on December 07, 2011 Direct TV charged my credit card in the amount of $26.60 to bring the balance to zero. Apparently at that time they haven't process the check that I had mailed on December 2nd. So it brought my balance to a credit in the amount of $26.60. I returned all the equiptment via post office in the beginning of December. Then I received an invoice saying I have a credit balance in the amount of $26.60. So I am thinking everything is been taking care with Direct TV.
Because I had set up the automatic payment and I forgot to cancell that transaction. Direct TV went ahead and charged me for the service during December to January in the amount of $170.22 which I never received an invoice. I did n't notice this transaction until I received another invoice in the amount of $282.71. I called them and they told me these charges are for movies that we ordered back in 2006 & 2007. We had never order movies. My husband is 82 years old and I work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day plus 3 hours of commuting time. I do not have time to watch movies. In one day they charged 10 movies @ 10.99.
Another day they charged me 5 movies @ 10.99. I do have a copy of the bill. I call them and asked them to sent me a print out of all these movies showing the day, the time and also the name of the movie and they told me they won't be able to retrieve that information. So I am asking for your help to resolve this problem, not only that avoid this companies to be charging all that kind of money to innocents people that they don't question they bill. In January of this year I did not receive any bill in the amount of $170.22 but yet they charged into my account. Thanks for your help.
