bought a stove insert & had it installed by there contractor, fire hazard & hooked up totally wrong with the wrong pipe & hooked together with tape, the surround is 3 inches to short on each side & they don't stand behind there work or return phone calls! They used an adaptor taped to my chimney insert, the heat has the wrong draft & the install has left me with an unsafe insert that I can't use! They are thieves spoke to several other customers of theirs & they are all unhappy with the company!

Good Afternoon ,
I am the owner of Ashwood Hearth & Home located in Patchogue ,n.y.
I am not a savvy internet blog or post man so I never have seen your Complaint.
We are not affiliated with the farmingville stove shop for starters ,so I would appreciate you to stop slandering my company if you purchased from some other store . Freedom of speech and unfactual one sided slander are two very different things.
We are a family owned and operated buisness and also are accredited members with the better buisness , not to mention have a clean slate with consumer affairs dept after all the years of buisness provided.
We also refer contractors to our consumers for thier convienience however the contractor and consumer have there own written contract absent of Ashwood who supplies materials only .
If you have a problem with an installation issue and did not hear back or have a problem with the contractor then please contact us for referal of a new one .
We have never left one of our consumers in a jam , but then again with the way some people feel they can talk and treat people these days , maybe your just one of those people that "cant be made happy "
I can only hope that you tried to contact us in a proffessional manner to reslove whatever may of been your issue as we wouldve listened.
Unfortunatly , when you complain by blog you never know who or what your dealing with ? You could be one of my competitors for gods sake .
I hope your issue is resolved at this point if it is a legitimate claim .

1)YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH A STORE IN FARMINGVILLE, THATS FUNNY BECAUSE I WAS SENT TO YOUR STORE IN PATCHOGUE & MADE FINAL PAYMENT IN PATCHOGUE.
2)I SUED YOU IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND WON & STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED PAYMENT & NOW A JUDGEMENT IS BEING FILED.
3)I TRIED TO FIND OUT THE SO CALLED OWNERS NAME TO MAKE HIM AWARE OF THE SITUATION & BUT NEVER REC. A PHONE CALL BACK.
4) YOUR COMPANY IS BY FAR THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH, PROMISES BROKEN, SHABBY WORK AND YOU PROVIDED THE CONTRACTOR & MADE ME PAY HIM SDIRECT, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY FIRST CLUE!
5)UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU I AM A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER AROUND THE CORNER FROM YOU AND YOU SCREWED THE WRONG PERSON BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT.
6) YOUR BLATANT LIE ABOUT NO STORE IN FARMINGVILLE CAN BE EASILY PROVEN BY MY RECEIPTS OF PAYMENT.
7) YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A SAVY INTERNET BLOGGER TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM & WHO I AM. YOU HAVE BEEN IN COURT WITH ME, HELLO. OR MAYBE IT WAS ONE OF YOUR FRONTS THAT SHOWED UP!
8) I WAS TOLD IT IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS WHO THE OWNER WAS & THAT HE IS NOT ACTIVE IN THE BUSINESS!
9) THE POST YOU JUST MADE SHOWS YOU ARE A SHADY CHARACTER, AND SLANDER IS NOT WHAT THIS IS BUT FACTUAL ! PROOF IS IN THE LAWSUIT & THE JUDGEMENT AWARDED
10) IF I PRACTICED MY BUSINESS LIKE THIS I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT.
YOU PUT MY FAMILIES HEALTH & LIFE AT STAKE!!!!! YOU ARE A PIECE OF CRAP
