I posted an ad on iOffer, because I could not find the size of boots I really wanted. They were the ASH Trash Biker Boots. Every store and online store was sold out of 38's. Menda Lechiera replied to my ad. I did not leave my cell number on the want ad (only my email address) but somehow she contacted me via text. She said she would sell me the boots for $210 (shipping included.) Too good to be true, because they retail for $385.00, but I was so excited to find them that I did not even question her.......or her request for Western Union. She made her business sound so legitimate by giving me details about how she was working on opening a website soon that would carry purses & etc...... She was very adamant that I spell her name correctly, because in New York state they will not let you pick up money at Western Union unless the name is spelled exactly as it did on your ID (she's was in Buffalo NY.)
I waited one week, no boots. I got an email saying she had a death in the family. Two weeks, I emailed her, no reply, three weeks, no reply, now it's been a month. I have no boots. I should have known better, but I have ordered things online hundreds of times and never had a problem. I am now extremely skeptical of buying online. I will never use Western Union again. I will be extremely thorough and not so careless next time. If if sounds too good to be true, it is.
