I joined the six figure program last November, the web page said it cost $27 and is a work at home program, no experience necessary, you would have help all the way, and soon be bringing home a salary so that you can quit your job. I am on 6 months unpaid leave from my job with a disc problem so this looked ideal.
Signing up cost $27. Next page – another $27 for a keyword tool, nowhere near as good as the FREE one on Google Adwords.
Next page – this is where the crack starts. $14.95 to register your website. OK, did that. Next page – its not $14.95, it is $140 as you have to pay for hosting.
Next page – $199 for search engine submission. Our $27 dollars is quickly becoming a major investment, not the hobby or sideline it started out to be. There is also a video on the web page with a student girl who could hardly afford to eat – so how did she pay for this then?

Ok., so its up and running. I knew nothing about the internet business, but began building the website with the editor provided. The editor gradually lost functions one by one until the only way it would work was to paste everything from word. THEY DONT WANT TO KNOW. All your emails are are answered with a generic reply that rarely relates to your issue. I got one real email from Jessica that was condescending and snotty and implied I am stupid. I dont email them any more, and delete all their emails without opening as I know they are selling some other crap. They did absolutely nothing to help.

The site came with an awful header which I needed to change – and discovered after loads of ignored emails that it CANNOT be changed. The site was doomed at that stage.
They have this “claim cash” thing on your site, tell you its for your benefit and to fill out the forms each week to earn an average $20. The site visitors were filling out these forms, leaving the site with that link and 6 figure get paid every time a visitor fills that in! I saw that on Statcounter. It was no good to me however as the offers were not available in my area. HOW CHEEKY IS THAT! YOU pay for hosting, YOU pay THEM to have their money making scheme on YOUR site. I have now deleted it from the site.

After working around a week on the site, I began getting emails, then a phone call from Prosper. They said they were part of the 6 figure program. The salesman, McKay Erkenbrack was very charming, and persuasive, making me believe signing up with them was a failproof system. How wrong I was.
At first, the “course” was thousands of dollars but gradually reduced when I told them I only had $400, which was what I paid them. They sent me this “virtual classroom”, everything on there can be got FREE from forums and You Tube!
They never answer calls, their answer machine says they will call you back and they do not. Then they claim their phones are giving problems.
There is NO mentoring. They do not answer emails. They have your money – then they ignore you. The only feedback I got from them in 3 months about my website quote:”It looks better than most” So it should after the hundreds of hours I put into building it.
The generic emails you get from 6 figure – are to sell you more get rich quick schemes and software, but nothing that will actually help, no feedback on your website, no answers to any questions. The “training center” is full of videos with those 2 guys waffling on about their credit cards. There are better videos on You Tube, for free.
The Prosper “course” cannot be completed as the editor does not allow you to do the required tasks. You need WordPress, and the editor provided is a long way from that.
Your site will be disapproved by Google as well, as you cannot put a customer opt in box on it or other features or plug ins. Neither can you work with Adsense.

Last week, I paid a young professional to review my site. He sent me a critique video, and has kept in touch since with email, excellent service, best money I spent in a long time. He is Andy at www.salesboostcopywriter.com/ I have taken his advice, and will have to start again with a new site, and FREE WordPress. I will get FREE training from 3 smashing Aussie guys at a program called The Challenge recommended by Andy at www.thechallenge.com. You can do the challenge with your existing site if you want to.
I am VERY angry at the 3 months hard work and time (around 12 hours plus per DAY since Nov 17th, no days off)I put into this website for no return, more so than the money I have lost on it. How much is that in monetary value?

However, I emailed Prosper in the end, demanding a full refund as they did not give me anything that I had paid for or been promised. I had $400 back in 48 hours. Result! I am horrified that some people have paid thousands of dollars, and seemingly have not got refunds or any benefit from the courses. Now, Prosper are incredibly again sending me emails to join their course! Shows their poor efficiency.

Advice to others – Go to The Challenge, get a website with a WordPress editor, and delete all emails from anyone claiming you will get rich quick on the internet. The only way you will – is to focus, work hard and avoid distractions.
