I ordered a jacket which I never received. I received an email from a company called Sitecomplaint.com informing me that payment was made and that they would handle any queries. www.g-star-raw.net finally sent out a package a month later after dozens of emails. They sent me a tracing number but this was only to buy them some time. A package arrived but it was empty. www.gstarrawstore.com is also run by the same person. Both China based companies. They both have the same contact email [email protected]

  • Same here. Placed an order on 2/9/14 for $248. They claimed delays, then gave me a fake tracking number, then went silent. They have one, maybe two, maybe more sites with different URL's. You can tell because they use the same basic design, colors, photos, etc. You can only contact them through a generic gmail address. Hopefully you're reading this before making a purchase!

  • not likely unless you go through the bother of going through your bank etc. I wouldn't know where to start. The merchant claimed that if i sent back the tea towels he sent me instead of the jacket he would refund me the money. Then when I offered to buy the them for $100 if he sent me the other half of my money back and they refused and just gave me a returns address. Unfortunately i ordered when there was no feedback online for this site. If you find out a way to get your money back through your credit card company, please let me know.

  • I'm starting to plan my disputes with my bank but at the moment I don't have a strong case as I only ordered on the 13th of April and read this claims just then to make me realise I've been scammed. Going through with your bank would possibly be the best choice. Even if it takes long its worth it to see these guys pay. I thought I purchased a G-Star item so i emailed the G-Star company (real ones) just so they are aware of these companies pretending to be them. But yeah, best method at the moment is going through with your bank.

  • I used my credit card. I explained what happened and they backed me up, crediting the charge. I had saved the entire email chain and photographed what they sent me, but they didn't need any of this. I also informed G-Star about their sites, which they forwarded to their legal team. Companies are really upset by these kinds of scammers as it damages their brand/reputation, so they go after them with a vengeance. I have an attorney friend who does this for big companies here and works with teams in China to go after them. It's great there are sites like these for us to check out before making purchases - once burned...best of luck!
