I've read this blog and EVERY complaint has been part of my experience. I started out in early December with a $99 package of bids. I knew with their promise that with that package you had to get at least one win, I didn't want to waste it on a $5 item. At first, I purchased a couple of gift cards (did not win the bids, but the price was o.k.), but it took several weeks and correspondence back and forth with then continuously telling me they'd emailed it to me (NOT) before they finally sent me my gift card. It was after I threatened to call my local tv station investigative reporters that I finally got it. In addition, finally at 4 a.m. one morning, my bid won what was to be a new/in the box/from the factory Acer Netbook! I had to pay an additional $102 for the item, which brought it practically up to the retail price. I wanted to give it to my granddaughter for Christmas. I waited for WEEKS, calling them and including the Netbook in my threats to call in the reporters, and finally one day a box was delivered to me. In the box, was an opened box/seal half removed, I believe, refurbished Toshiba Netbook, a model which had been discontinued according to a call to Toshiba. The dates in the programming are from 2009 and 2010. In addition, there was a piece of masking tape taped to the keyboard with handwritten numbers on it, perhaps the numbers representing items to be repaired or something else. It was NOT new. All I had was the FedEx tag on the box, and checked back through FedEx to find the shipper. It was Beach Camera in New Jersey, and I was curtly told by them that the Netbook was new and an upgrade from the Acer. I was told to call DealFun if I wanted to return it. I can't imagine having more aggravation by going through that process. It is supposed to have a battery that lasts up to 9 hours...it has shown up to 4 on ECO mode, but drains very quickly. It is not new despite the fact that their website states that everything is new and factory packed. I know it is not the item I won, but rather than have nothing, I am buying upgrades for it and hope that it holds up for a reasonable time. I don't dare try to give it to my granddaughter. After that time, I did spin the wheel and get some free vouchers. I won a pair of Angry Bird slippers and a little clip MP3 player which I waited weeks in "processing" mode, only to receive emails stating that their supplier miscalculated their quantity and THEY were canceling the order. They gave me some bids that they felt were the value of the items. Again the items were for my granddaughter (birthday this time) and she won't be getting them. I tried using the bids to win other items, but 3 seperate times when I got to be the final bid...there was that 20 second or so delay others have mentioned and up popped someone else's bid. I believe they have a way of keeping customers from getting their wins. I wrote another email to DealFun saying that I felt this was happening, and they sent more emails to me, this time returning the 39 and 58 cents that I had spent on the items. So, if you DO WIN items, you will either not get them at all, get substitutes, or have anything that may have made you feel that you were not completely scammed canceled. I have one outstanding gift certificate that I supposedly "won" and when I get that, I will sign off the site. My big disappointment is that I got to them through NoMoreRack which came so highly recommended by several TV shows and well-known celebrities I felt have put their name behind them. I wonder if these celebrities know by now that they are leading innocent folks to this type of operation. Perhaps it just grew too big too fast for the company to handle. Good Luck to anyone else who signs on!
