On 1-10-2012 I sent United Services Group a check to help me get a mortgage modification. I thought I had done my due diligence on this company, but apparently I didn't do enough. After I faxed all of my information in to them, I was promised that they would be able to eliminate my 2nd DOT and have my principle on my 1st reduced and have a new 30 year mortgage at approximately 2.5% with my current lender. I asked to speak to their attorney who they use. They said that I was not to contact him as they would be doing all of the work on my file. According to Judy Johnson "the compliance officer" of USG she said that they only use Bruce H. Sobel when they have some legal correspondence that requires an attorneys response. The person who contacted me was named Chuck Anguiano who collected all of my information. McKenzie Phillips was used to make sure my file and paperwork was all in order. She was to send me on to another person which I never heard from. I was unable to contact anyone at USG aftere about 1-22-2012. It appears that all of the phones at USG no longer have service. Well after all of the phone numbers at USG were turned off, I called and left a message for Bruce H. Sobel asking if he was indeed working with USG. He called me back on 1-25-2012 and said that he does some work for USG but assured me that he just heard that USG was having problems. I asked him what was happening? He told me that the owner had some medical problem he thought; but was not certain. He further stated that he was going to take over everyone's loan modification. He also said that his only purpose at this point is to make certain that everyone's modification will be handled through his office from now on. He also stated that USG will now no longer exist from what he knew at this point. Since 1-25-2012 all I have been able to do is leave a message for Bruce H. Sobel or his secretary "Kathy" to return my call. I was relieved at first after talking to Bruce H. Sobel, but now that I can't get him to return my call maybe Bruce and USG are attempting to scam me out of my money. If I do not hear from Bruce H. Sobel today, I will be contacting all regulators and file a complaint against USG and Bruce H. Sobel.

  • I am in the same position as you are with USG. I received a call from Sobels office today stating that advanced loan processing would be taking over all usg files and that I will hear from a case agent early next week. I talked with greg paramoore. not sure of last name spelling. number is 619 609-0085. that is sobels office number. good luck
