Complaint 6440 Details

Called amerigas to check possible leak from oven. Two men showed up at 3:15 p.m., no uniforms, refused to show ID. Stormed past me and my daughter, spent 15 minutes working on the furnace (it works great!). Barely looked at the oven. Asked lots of personal questions I refused to answer. Told me my furnace and oven are defective, I must replace them both before they explode! That would cost over $2000.00, money I don't have. Called me a stupid old lady, stormed out of my house. Without my knowledge capped off the propane tank! Applegate checked furnace, oven, stated both worked great. Amerigas is probably scamming the elderly. As a diabetic Amerigas cost me hundreds in forcing me and my daughter to eat out. Still refuse to uncapp the tank, refuse to answer my e-mails or phone calls!
