Complaint 63400 Details

I went on line to see if anyone would buy our RCI points as we could no longer afford the maintenance fees. I had a call from Timeshare World who said they had a buyer through their associates Holiday Rentals Direct in Spain. Holiday Rentals contacted me with a buyer offering £14,000. I asked what their fees would be and they said the buyer pays these.

We agreed to go ahead but they asked for my card details. I sais I was not happy to give these out but they said it was only in the short term and as soon as the buyer paid the 30% deposit it would be refunded to me. I reluctantly agreed to this, as we wished to dispose of the points.

They sent a contract and we signed this as we had nothing to lose as the points documents would not be handed over until after the whole of the money had been received.

They rang us on several occasions to keep us informed and the last phone call was at the beginning of December saying they had applied to the buyer for the purchase monies. We heard nothing more and I sent an e-mail asking what the position was. They range two weeks or so ago saying they had given the buyer another seven days. Since then nothing further has b een heard.
