In January 2008 (Approximate date) a woman called claiming she was from Amazon Internet stores and asked me if I would like to start the new year off by starting my own internet business. Her demeanor was very professional and she had a positive view. I did not want to risk the chance of getting scammed but after listening to her I believed it could be a good thing, only to find out a few years afterwards, that she was a total liar. I paid two-hundred dollars on my credit card to get the website started. In March, the salesmen from AdBiz.com started calling and wanting me to purchase an advertising packet for the website. They claimed that these ads would appear on sites such as KMart, Overstock.com, Walmart and all of the large department stores. I noticed that in order to go to my website, I would have to go to their website first and then punch in mine. They gave me the packet at a discount of $1295.00 and I never once saw any of the ads for my website. I printed up fliers and had business cards made up. I maintained my website and never saw any sales in my back office. After finding out that other customers were sending in rip-off reports, I did see that they had $20,000. in sales at my back office. I never got these monies, and want to know what the state of Arizona is doing to refund these profits.
