After cancelling the scammed "$9 Fare Club" membership, Spirit Airlines re-enrolled me (without my authority or notice) and charged me this ridiculous amount! When calling, they claim that it was my fault that it had not 'actually' been cancelled - even though I called 6 months prior - and because I couldn't provide the agent's name with whom I spoke, it was my fault. And because they have a no-refunds policy, they will not provide a refund in any form.

- Thanks for the info. I use spirit about 3 times a year on a regular basis. I had been getting sales calls about their "Fare Club" - thanks again

- I became a member of Spirit Airline's $9 fare club last year when I booked trips to Chicago. I didn't realize it was renewing until I saw that it was billed to my American Express Card. I canceled it online and tried to confirm the cancelation by calling customer service. They did cancel my membership but refused to refund the membership fees of $59.95.They said that I was notified by email that it was going to renewed. I never received the email. I wrote a letter to the president of the company in May 2011 but never received a reply.
