I received a high check from Lachine, QC that I thought was real. It had pay to the order to with my name and full address in the amount of $2474.48 from a bank called JP Morgan Chase Bank in Syracuse, NY. It also have the logo Schneider National at the left hand corner of it. The letter says one company and the check says another. The letter says: We are pleased to inform you through this letter that our network system shows you as the beneficiary of an unclaimed settlement for the amount of 100,000.00. Our system indicates that you were chosen on January 4, 2012. It is our responsibility to inform you of the North American Law which stipulates that the receiver must pay a processing fee before his/her funds are released. Be advised keep your claim confidential until it has been completely processed and your settlement has been delivered to you. Be advised that the enclosed check is valid only by calling our offices first. If you attempt to cash this check before speaking to any of our agents the check will be void and all stop payments will be in affect this is only a security procedure to protect our customers identity. I know that this is a scam because I never entered any gaming contest. I been through this before and it will never happen again. I feel like going to the government about this.I just do not know what to do.
