I was a member of a very well known gym franchise and they sold out to Life Quest fitness. I was never given any notification that the gym I joined was selling out so when I found out I tried to make arrangements to cancel my membership. I called the new Life Quest gym in Cedartown, GA to cancel my membership and they gave me a phone number. When I called the number I was given I got GoDaddy.com. I tried again on another occassion to call and cancel and was again given the number to GoDaddy.com. I even contacted my bank where the bankdraft comes out and explained the situation to them and the bank did not even have a legitmate number to contact to cancel the membership. So the bank revoked the auto pay and requested for the previous months payments to be returned. The bank has certain guidelines to follow before they can cancel a bank draft and ths situation was within the FDIC guidlines. So, when the bankdraft was revoked guess what I got in the mail...a letter with a correct phone number for me to contact to cancel my membership. They tell me that they have no proof that I had been trying to cancel my membership. I told them no you wouldn't have any proof because everytime I would call to get the number to cancel I was given the number to GoDaddy.com on more than one occassion. I told them that I even contacted my bank and they didn't even have a number to contact them. I dont mind paying back the 2 payments the bank revoked but they are now making me pay for 2 more months before I can even cancel the stinking membership. They are unwilling to compromise one bit on this when I had no way of cantacting them until I revoked the bankdraft. Beware when joining Life Quest gym or signing any authorization for ABC financial to do a bankdraft from your account. They have the most useless customer service team I have ever had the opportunity to deal with.
