I met what appeared to be a nice man on match.com, supposedly from Long Beach, CA...he seemed sincere and we corresponded by mail/email/phone for 2-3 weeks...I never met him because he wen on a business trip and his son needed a laptop from Apple...he asked if I would go to the Apple store and send the gift card to his son. like a dummy I went there, thinking it would be less than $1000.00 but the one he wanted was almost $3000.00.. so in for a penny in for a dime or whatever the adage is..at that point I got it and sent it by Fedex...after that we corresponded for a while and always in the back of my mind I was not trusting him..the bad thing and how I got hooked, he used quotes from the bible and pretended to be a strong christian man and I am a bible reading christian so I was vulnerable. He was delayed returning home and he asked again for money ..again with a story that they wouldn't cash his travelers check without upfront money..this time I didn't buy in to it...be careful he calls himself Mark C Rohman..his son Daniel Rohman,,born in Bari, Italy..home in Long Beach and Colorado Springs. he has an accent..could be italian or as I listened perhaps even african..white man I would guess.

  • watch out for people you just met asking for money "they're pattern stays the same after a week or more of knowing you they come up with a sob story needing money" you have to use you head not your heart because that's what they want you to do .if you would have said no or I don't have it he would have moved on to someone else to victimize.

  • I think this Mark C Rohman is a fake name as well as claiming to have a son Daniel Rohman. Myself & another lady have been scammed by Mark Daniel whom I met off a dating website from Australia. His email addy is [email protected],he also created my yahoo email account for me [email protected] so we could chat online IM.I live in Sydney & from his dating account it stated he lived in Melbourne Australia,so the yahoo accounts were perfect for communication as well as the mobile. As weeks went by after repeatedly asking for money & me sending it like an idiot I researched him.Did a Reverse IP check on email addresses both his & mine came back as region Hovedstaden,Copenhagen,Denmark where these yahoo accounts were setup. I have checked grandman1951 @yahoo.com & that comes from the same computer as well. Which means this man is the same person using different names on other sites & probably has a lot of email addresses too. You can check out my complaint by searching Mark Daniel to see what damages he has done.I highly doubt he is American as he claims to be, now that Iv found out about Denmark, the accent sounds like a sure Dane...If you would like to contact me to hopefully build a case on this scumbag,I'll be happy to help!!
