Unsecured Loan Company

I was looking for a loan for a new car and I received a phone call from a company call 'unsecured loan company.net' the lady sounded very trust-worthy. She assured me that she can guarantee me a loan for £6000 and pay back £190 per month over 36 months which includes £840 interest considering I had bad credit. I was happy with this. She then told me i'd need to pay an application fee of £60.00. I became skeptical so I told her to call me back. I looked online to see if they were a legit company. They seemed ok and the website had a secure padlock on it. So I proceeded considering she told me that she guarantees 100% that I will receive my money on the following monday 19/12/11. I called again the next day to confirm I am definately getting the loan at the specified amount with that much interest, he confirmed. I waited until monday. Monday came, I was very exited. I received a text around midday notifying me that they have declined me. I then called them. They said I had lied in my application. They told me that because they asked me if I am in debt and I told them no that I lied because there was a default on my account from 3 years ago that got cleared a year ago, therefore I am not in debt now. I told them I wanted my £60.00 back as they had lied to me seeing that there is a 10 day cooling off period in which I can get a refund. They said that they will not give it back to me because I have lied?! Although I wouldn't have lied because they told me If I had bad credit they'd still accept me so there was no need. Please If you ever think of paying an application fee for a loan especially with this company....DON'T! They will sound very promising but they will do anything to get it out of you. Go for a well-known company because realistically nobody is going to give you a good loan if you have bad credit. I just wish I wasn't so naive!
