I saw a magazine article that spoke highly of Bidrack which led me to peruse the site. All I recall is seeing a "register free" as a first step. I furnished all of the required information including (stupidly I guess) my credit card number which I thought would only be used if I won a bid. I never saw a statement that I was authorizing a charge for $99.00 for the privilege of using the site.
I have participated in Ebay auctions various times and never ever once had a problem - so I was lulled into thinking nothing bad would happen with Bidrack. Wrong! I just received my credit card invoice and there is a charge for $99.00 from Bidrack. I called them and was informed that I had purchased bids for an Ipad - which was news to me since I had no idea I was buying bids. The representative was not at all empathetic and would not discuss my plea for credit.
I called my credit card company to file a complaint - they called Bidrack while I was on the line and the Bidrack rep indicated that I had placed bid, and could only "escalate" my request for credit to another department. I am to receive their e-mail decision within the next few days. From the sound of her unconcerned response I am not hopeful of receiving a positive resolution which one would expect from a decent reliable company.
I am a senior citizen on a limited income and while I was lookng for a "bargain" I now am faced with the loss of $99 for absolutely nothing. This hurts.

  • MARYJANE, HOPE U WILL READ MY LATEST REPORT ON THIS SITE ABOUT HOW A FEW OF US GOT OUR MONEY BACK FROM THE BANK. U MUST TELL UR CREDIT CARD CO IT IS A FRADULENT CHARGE, GET THEM TO CANCEL UR CREDIT CARD AS STOLEN AND BEING USED FRADULENTLY(THIS SHOULD BE FREE-MY NEW CARD CAME IN 6 DAYS) UR NOT ACTUALLY CLOSING UR ACCOUNT ONLY GETTING A NEW NUMBER. THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO CHARGE PEOPLE'S CARDS SEVERAL TIMES SO U WANT TO GET THAT NUMBER CANCELED!!U R RIGHT, THERE IS NOTHING ON THEIR SITE THAT TELLS U ABOUT THE 99.00---I EVEN CALLED AND QUESTIONED IF THERE WAS ANY CHARGE SINCE IT ASKED FOR MY NUMBER AND THEY SAID NO. THEY WILL SEND U A NOTICE SAYING "WE HAVE A STRICT NO REFUND POLICY BUT HERE ARE 120 "FREE" BIDS SINCE YOU MISUNDERSTOOD." DON'T USE THOSE!!! THEY WILL THEN SAY U USED OUR SITE YOU MUST PAY--U CAN'T WIN ANYTHING ANYWAY. I TOO AM A SENIOR. AS U CAN NO DOUBT TELL IT MADE ME FURIOUS!THAT'S WHY I KEPT WORKING TIL I FOUND A WAY TO GET MY MONEY AND WHY I WASTE SO MUCH TIME WRITTING TO A FEW PEOPLE LIKE YOU. A CLASS ACTION SUIT HAS BEEN FILED-OH, AND DON'T WORRY THEY WON'T BOTHER U IF BANK GIVES UR MONEY BACK--THEY R THIEVES & DON'T WANT TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THEMSELVES.
    BEST OF LUCK!!!

  • Thanks for the advice, Suzi. Although I will ask Chase for a new card, I'm in a different situation than you in that I used a credit card. Using your debit card was very smart. I would love to have my money in hand and do battle with Bidrack.
Yesterday when I reported it to Chase the rep told me we had to wait for a response from Bidrack. This morning I received the standard Bidrack e-mail stating there are no refunds etc. I will inform Chase accordingly but I have a feeling they won't go to bat for me. I'll revert with Chase response. Thanks again. MaryJane
