I received (from Wells Fargo, with whom I have several accounts) a form for a free Credit Report, requiring the last 4 digits of my social security number. Since this supposedly came from a bank which had that info for me, I became suspicious. On reading the fine print on the form, I noticed the fine print stated the Credit Report would be sent to the address on the form, which was not mine, but PO Box 63566, Phila PA 19147-7366.
I believe this is a scam because the average person who receives a form letter from their bank for a free credit report would not think twice about filling in the last 4 digits of their social security number and most likely would not check the fine print.
I believe this should be investigated.
