Seen an add on craigslist by Jacob Hutchins ( Outlaw Kustom Bedz ) gave him $2500.00 down on 06/04/2011 to build me welding a bed. The bed was supposed to be ready on 06/27/2011 he hasnt finished he it yet told me he would give me my money back that he fed-xed to me then he said he sent it regular now he is saying he fed-xed it again but he cant give me a tracking # and if he sent it it would be here by now today is 07/20/2011.

  • Hi Jennifer, to answer your question no I never got anything at all, neither the bed or the money. All I can do is take him to court and get a judgement against him which will cost me more money and he most likely will ignore it just like he ignored the certified letter of demand my lawyer sent him. For that reason I decided to drop it instead of wasting any more money because a judgement is about useless in the state of Texas.

  • Hi Jennifer, it's Rick again. I just talked to my lawyer again and he said if I would go ahead with the suit he would make Jacobs life miserable for the next 10 years or until he gives me my money. It is going to cost $137.50 for the court cost so I am going to proceed with the lawsuit against him.

  • We used Jacob Hutchins to build a welding bed said if we brought our truck to him bed could be done in 3 to 5 weeks so we did. After 8 weeks we decided we were going to get our truck and when we went to get it the bed was not finished and our truck has alot of damage from grinding sparks all over it(my ins. is going to fix it hopefully). So no bed but he did return our downpayment money!

  • Ok everybody that has been dealing with this its ok..I myself went to center today 11/15/11 with another welder that had the same issue as everybody it seems like..I found out there is new management over all of this jacob just maybe overloaded himself..But there is two new gentlemen out there i tlked to them myself and i do have both of their numbers. They are straight shooters if you need info about this my cell number is 936-348-1096 call or txt!!

  • Well, it might be ok for you but I was the first one to get burnt by Jacob for $2,500. No one from Outlaw Kustom Bedz has made any attempt to contact me and make it right. If they did I would be more than glad to say so. So if you got your money back or a bed consider yourself lucky. By the way didn't the police go with you? Do you think if I carried the police with me I could get my money back? Didn't they tell you they were going to call me today 11/16/11 to try to make things right? Do you think I got a call? Answer to last question is no I didn't. So don't tell me it's ok. If it was ok I would have my money back . So unless I get my money back my advice to everyone is stay away from Outlaw Kustom Bedz. If I got my money back I would say they were trying to be a reputable company but I have no reason to believe that will happen.

  • It's now the 11/18 /11 still no word from new managers of Outlaw Kustom Bedz would really be surprised if I heard from them. Sent a text to Jacob got a reply bragging that he sold Quinton and the other welder a bed. Hell he sold me one too but all I got was a worthless reciept. I told him I bet he was mad because he actually had to give them the bed instead of keeping thier down payment and selling the bed to someone else . Got no reply after that. Does anyone think its strange that new management took over yet he still works there after all of the scams he's pulled.

  • So Quinton have you heard from those so called straight shooters of new management in the last few days? Did you ever think that Charlie was kin to Hutchins and the other guy was his friend that that just got out of the pen. Don't know this for sure just something that came to me in an E-mail. My offer still stands txt me and I can tell you how to get even by having Hutchins locked up.

  • This is Jacob Hutchins and yea there Rick Morris i sure have offered to give you your money back even tho i shouldnt.. The only reason i offered was to get this crap off the internet because it bulls***.. I told you i'd gladly drive to Baytown Texas or that Charlie had to come down that way anyways and that either he or i would bring you a cashiers check for $2,500 all that i asked was for you to pull this off of here but oh no that wasnt happening.. Dont know about tha rest of ya but if someone was offering to bring me $2,500 if id just take something off the internet id pull it off and if i didnt recieve my payment in 24hrs id repost with an even a better story than the one i deleted but hey thats just me so when you said you wouldnt take it off the internet i just decided that id handle the problem of you posting stuff about me on the internet when people asked me about it.. Im pretty sure that whenever you had your very first conversation with me about this bed I told you just like every single other customer that ive had that i have a 50% DOWNPAYMENT THAT IS NON-REFUNDABLE... You gave your Half down and didnt come get your bed.. On the day you were supposed to come get it you called and said im going to come look at it see how it looks, like if you didnt like it you were just gunna say you didnt like it and get ur money back. You didnt call n say im coming to get my bed.. So i told you save mine and youre time and dont even come because i wasnt giving you money back.. If you had been serious and not just want your half back you would have ccame and seen the bed or atleast i know i would.. But i know that im not about to build a bed for you or anyone else and spend money on materials and labor and paint and body work and give you your deposit back just because you decide to back out on your bed no one would do that and if they say they would then they dont know what goes into building a bed.. If youre bed had just not been built or completed when you got there i would have refunded youre money Just the same as i did Jenifer and Alan that also have a posting above... That bed was not complete when they got there and there was nothing else i could do to get it complete so i pulled it off and gave them there money back.. So anyways stop throwing yourself a pitty party about your money that I do not owe you.. I offered it to ya and you coulda had it but im not handing you money then hoping youll take this off the internet im sorry buddy.. I guess you can keep on posting if ya want but tha bottom line is I must be doing something right because I cant seem to get a day off from building beds and have ppl calling every single day to buy beds from me.. Im not scamming anyone on anything im building custom beds and they take time thats all there is to it.. Just remember folks theres 2 sides to every single story, if ya wanna hear what i have to say or interested in a bed call me 936-590-9816.. EVeryone have a good night

  • I did not want my money back. I wanted my bed finished and on my truck as agreed. Hutchins did not finish the bed on the day it was due, which was June 27, 2011. I gave him 3 more weeks to finish the bed and he still did not finish it. Then he told me he would refund my money and send it by FedEx or I could have the bed as it was (unfinished) for another $1,000 and finish it myself because he did not know when he would be able to finish it. I told him to just send my money back (If I had the time to work on a bed I would not have paid him to do it).
    He told me that he had Fed-Exed my money back 3 times, but he never did. The money was never returned or sent via Fed-Ex or any other method of delivery. He also never provided a “tracking number” which FedEx and other carriers always issue on any letters or items they deliver.
    After the third time when he told me he had sent my money back and it did not arrive, I started posting about the situation. I told him that I would post that he had made it right if he sent my money back, but he wanted me to first post that he had made it right BEFORE he had done so. (If I posted that he had made it right before he did, that would be a lie, and I am not going to be forced into lying in order to get my money back. If he had done what he was supposed to do there would never have been a post in the first place!
    I have no doubt that he has a story to tell, he certainly he told me plenty of them. If I had not been serious I would never have given him $2,500 in cash as a down payment on the bed. Also, I would not have ordered a bed through Bob King (who you can trust) to build me a bed after I gave up on ever getting a bed from Hutchins.
    My advice to anyone who values their money is to avoid Hutchins and Outlaw Kustom Bedz like the plague. About his stories – why do I have pictures of my unfinished bed with him standing by it on my cell phone if I never went to look at the bed? Also, if he can’t produce a bed in 2 months (i.e. Jennifer’s and mine) I’m sure he is as busy as he says he is. One customer every 2 months would keep him swamped. Don’t forget Quinton and the other welder – how many weeks late we

  • Hutchins says he's not scamming anyone, well I think Jennifer, Leo, Snow, Ricky F. & myself along with some other people who have called me since I posted my phone # will disagree. Oh yeah got my bed from Bob King ahead of time and I am very happy with it all I had to pay down was $500. I wished I would have called him first.

  • Hey everyone don't forget to claim your loss for being scammed by Hutchins on your taxes so he can deal with the I.R.S too. I am sending a copy of my receipt with my taxes just to make sure they know he received the money that he probably won't report.
