I reported this scam on my account yesterday to scambook. The bank did pay the amount and the name changed from propertyhousevalue.com to carreports.com. I did go on their website looking for a report on a car I wish to purchase. They charged a fee of $2.95 (the website shown on the printout for the receipt is http://www.carvinhistory.com). However, their information was useless and out of date. They do have a notice that you can cancel at any time. Otherwise you will be charged $29.95 a month if they are not notified. Typical scam site. So, there's our villain and I was careless and didn't "cancel" within their time limit of only 3 days.
If you have visited this site and, who knows, they may have other sites pulling the same scheme, they give a Customer Care phone number of (888) 613-1485 with business hours of Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm PST, Saturday 9am - 3pm PST and Sunday 9am - 1pm PST.
I will call today and attempt to cancel my "account". I'll let you know how that goes.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me on Dec. 22, I also ordered a vin report and on 12/25/11 I had a charge from PROPERTYHOUSEVALUE COM come through with a $29.95 charge. I then contacted Walmartmoneycard with whom these transactions went through, telling them that I did NOT authorize the PROPERTYHOUSEVALUE COM charge, nor did I even know who they were. I removed what remain money I had on that prepaid card and put it on a new moneycard. Saturday and then again today, I tried to use that card and both times was refused. I called the support number and they told me that the new card was closed because I was a financial liability to them and I would be receiving a letter from them this week. So, not only did I lose the $29.95 with this PROPERTYHOUSEVALUE, I also lost the $ it took me to withdraw the balance from the moneycard at the same time, was an embarrassing moment at the checkout stand.
I will lodge a complaint with both places with my attorney general, but I am also wondering how to find the IP address since it's the only thing I can think of to track these thieves down!

- SAME THING happened to me. I had an unauthorized charge of $29.95 from some PROPERTYVALUESEARCH.COM. I did a "one time" car vin search for $2.95. NO where on the website I was on, did it mention a recurring monthly fee of $29.95 unless you call and cancel. I have since called them & "canceled"!! They will continue to charge you 29.95 a month & alot of people dont even realize it. It will bill exactly one month from the first initial date too. There is a number to call & get it took care of. The number is (888)613-1485. I also called my bank & canceled my debit card & got an new one so they can NEVER bill that card again!!!! Hope this helps!!!! :)
