I opened my on-line bank account page today and discovered the $29.95 charge had been made yesterday morning just after midnight. The bank shows the amount as an "Authorized Hold" for PROPERTYHOUSEVALUE.COM.
I immediately did a web search entitled "propertyhousevalue.com fraud" and it brought me to scambook. Upon learning that others had been scammed by this outfit I downloaded a claim form from my bank, filled it in in writing, signed, scanned and emailed it to my banking asking them to please not pay this unauthorized charge if they have not already done so. The "Hold" expires 1/10/2012.
I would like the party or parties who are scamming people out of their bank accounts to pay for what they're doing to us. I just went on early retirement and cannot afford to lose money to thieves. All scammers deserve long prison terms.
If any of the other complainants in this matter have recently signed into Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes online, and you have given your email address and are getting multiple emails regarding other games they have for you to win at, I suggest you block them from your email account. I received a notice today that I'd won a $1,000 WalMart gift card. I told my roommate about it and he said it's a fraud and that he gets that same notice all the time. I know I should never have trusted them with my email address, but PCH is such an established outfit that I had no idea it might not be them (they?) sending these emails, and may never know. This isn't the first time my accounts have been frauded. I almost gave up banking because of it. We need to see to it that there is a stricter penalty than whatever is now in place for these thieves!
Thank you.
