A young man came to the door saying he was on an American Legion baseball team that had made the playoffs. He said he lived a few doors down, but I stupidly did not make note of his address or last name (first name = Matthew). He was selling books for a fundraiser; you could buy sets for our local hospital or for yourself. I ordered two sets of books - one for my daughter and one for the hospital. I was told I would receive them in 6-8 weeks along with two $50 barnes and noble gift cards.

In October, I got a phone call from a "Customer Service Rep" who wanted to know about the sales transaction. I explained I still didn't have my books - he said they were in the mail. He said he would get me subscriptions to five magazines for two bucks a piece with a credit card number. At least I was smart enough not to give him that. I asked for a number to be able to call back if I didn't get my books. Of course, the number leads to no where. (1-877-892-3458).
