Surfing the web, got a pop up for a $1000 WalMart gift card. Great. All I had to do was agree to try several products. As you go through this process, you choose from several vendors and their merchandise. As you get "closer to qualifying" you have selected several trial products, you can't choose the same on twice, you just pay $1 plus s/h. There is a time limit in which to cancel these services from auto delivery. By the time you get to the end of the selection process you learn that you can get your card AFTER the services or products that you have chosen are delivered and your subscription is in place. It's a loop, you get the same products or promotions, again, can't choose the same on twice. As soon as I realized what was going on, I had committed myself to about 6 different products or services, which would be the equivalent to the amount of the card that you won.
I have several charges automatically billed for products that arrived within days of the end ofyour trial period. Before you can make the call to cancel and get information to return any unopened products, you're account is debited for the charges for acceptance of an auto delivery system!
Don't know if Walmart is in collusion but if they aren't then they need to disassociate themselves with these scams. I did not list monetary damages because they've yet to be tallied as I will have to pay for s/h fees to send the packages back that arrived within days of my trial period ending. I can tell you that I'm operating at a negative account balance on my checking account, having difficulty getting my money back and never qualified for the "free" Walmart gift card.
If Walmart is part of this, then shame on them for allowing this to continue. It will just be part of the list of ill-will against their employees and patrons.
