I purchased a 1993 Ford Explorer and gave Donny McGowan $800 down payment. Two days after I got the car home, I came out to find a flat tire. When I took the tire to be fixed i found out that the tires on the vehicle were for a trailer and should not be on the vehicle. I called Mr. McGowan and he did not return my phone calls. When I finally got ahold of him, replaced the tires with defective used tires and once again I had a flat tire. He then sent me to another tire shop and they would not put tires on the rims I had on the vehicle because they did not fit the vehicle and they would not be safe. Mr. McGowan finally replaced all 4 tires with proper fitting rims and tires.

From the very day I purchased the car it starting over heating, Mr. McGowan took the vehicle for 2 days and said he flushed the radiator. He also stated that the transmission fluid was low and that was why it was not going into gear properly.

The radiator continued to leak and the transmission fluid continued to leak. I called Mr. McGowan on several occasions and he promised to "do something about it." He never did, so I sent him a registered letter stating I would not make payments until he fixed the problems. His secretary called and said Donny was aware of my letter and would be getting back to me within a day or two.

I heard nothing from Mr. McGowan until he came and repossessed the vehicle.

He understood from the very beginning that I am an elderly lady on a very limited income and that the money I was giving to him was all that I had. I now find myself broke and without transportation.
