A woman called with an Indian accent and told me she was calling from Microsoft Windows Technical Support and that my computer had been sending them messages that were coming from a computer virus and that she was going to help me get the virus off my computer. I was immediately suspicious but continued the conversation and she had me pointing and clicking in various folders to show me the 'virus messages.' When she asked me to delete one and no delete option appeared she started saying, "Oh my God, Oh my God Ma'am, you are really in trouble!" She then directed me to a website that was not connected with Microsoft in any way and asked me to click on a button for 'Remote Support.' She told me that they would delete the viruses from my computer. I told her I was busy and asked if I could call her back and she gave me the following phone number: 347-480-1148. She told me to hurry and call back and that I should take this problem seriously! I hung up, did a search and found this site among many others with complaints about these people.
