Called the 800 number on the back of my Olive Garden gift certificate card, went through the options at Olive Garden service and selected 0 to talk to a rep. Then my call was answered and I got the "while you are waiting..." I have worked in banking for years and am so mad I fell for this! Anyway, I stupidly gave them my info then they transferred my call to verify it all then was supposed to get me to the gift certificate help. Of course I ended up with 123 Assist so they could give me the number... the one I already called!!! I knew then I'd been scammed so I Googled it and immediately transferred all my money from my account to a seperate one, called the customer service number they gave me, 1-855-857-7700 and told them I wanted to cancel. This was only 20 minutes after the scam occurred. They asked for my phone number, told me my name and said it was cancelled and money would be refunded back on my card but would not give me a confirmation number. Upon looking at my account online, the 3.95 has come out and overdrawn my account but am calling bank in the morning to report the scam and have it blocked and my card cancelled. What a dumb mess I have gotten myself into... I did call Olive Garden's number again and got the regular people, asked them about it and they were really worried and confused stating I must have dialed a wrong number, but I did not. :( I have read they take 2 or 3 times for the 3.95. Please post in here if you get any results. I will be sure to post if I actually get my money back.
