I found a listing for 2 boxer puppies on Craigslist in a town local to where I live so I emailed the contact Grady Bless of Amsterdam, NY to find out about the puppies. He sent me a ton of information, details on how the puppies had been taken care of and pictures. He said that they were his mom's puppies but she passed away unexpectedly and he couldn't keep them. When I asked to come see them, he said that he lived near me but the puppies were in Miami, FL where he was at his mother's house so as long as I was going to give them a good home to just send $400 for the both of them to be transported. So I sent it to him and he said he would arrange for delivery on Christmas day...we spoke on the phone over 1/2 a dozen times and emailed almost everyday about how the puppies were doing, how excited my children were going to be on Christmas morning and that this was their ONLY gift and when I was sick he wished me well and on and on and on we continued to have all these conversations for 2 months. A couple weeks before Christmas the carrier company AIRS CARRIERS sent me ownership documentation and insurance fee for $850 that I would get back $800 at time of delivery - I even researched the transport company and the insurance company on the document and there was nothing suspicious...so I sent it...they emailed me when the puppies left Florida and then I received another email from the transit point carrier Delta Pet Carriers in Delaware saying they arrived at the airport but needed a CITES permit to transport into NY...at that point, I became suspicious so I researched CITES permit (which is a valid thing) but came across the new November post in scambook with Airs Carrier and Grady Bless's name - I knew at that point that I was scammed...I was DEVASTATED! I had received new pictures every week and was already in love with the puppies and now it was 3 days before Christmas, I had no presents for my kids and no money. This was the most awful thing that has ever been done to me - how someone can know that these were for my kids and talk to me as my friend and then do this is beyond me...I will not let this go...
