I have answered to an ad saying, if you answer this question you have a chance to win an I-Pad. I have submitted the answer, and they said they will need my cell number in order to contact me during the week. I have given my cell number, and I have received two more msg from them immediately. In total, I have answered to 4 texts. I've been bombarded with txt every day, so I thought I'll just ignore it as there were no explicit instructions on charges, or how to stop receiving msg. On the 15, I received my bill and it was $64. Usually I pay$ 32 per month, as I am a student.
I called my provider, and I was told the additional charges were from the “The Mobile Gener”, which charges $3.00 per text. When I have received text msg, not in single one of them, it said if you wish to discontinue write STOP. I will be more than happy to pay for 4 txt msg, that I did respond to, but I will not be held responsible for other txt msgs. I was also told by Vanja( customer rep.) that I would be charged another $18.00 in my next bill. Please help me resolve this issue, thank you.
