I responded to a craigslist advertisement for a part-time call center job. I received a response e-mail the next day. I was very excited at the possibility of finally finding a job. I know how many scams are out there, so before I did the "pre-screening" for the interview I looking up clayton careers & partners...low and behold the entire thing is a scam. Good thing I looked it up. What a disappointment...and a waste of my time. Check out their website...even that's obviously a poor attempt to portray a legitimate business. Thank you for everyone who has posted about this...I am posting in the hopes that if enough of us post...these scammers will be stopped.

Here is a copy of the e-mail they sent to me:

Hello [my name, edited out - nice touch using my name],

We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Clayton Careers & Partners. After reviewing your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company.

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at http://jobinclayton.info or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is [6 digit number, edited out].

Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.
