I also received a letter in the mail on 12/19/2011 with a check enclosed for $4976.50 for "insurance and administrative fees" to call 1-912-330-4479 and ask for Stanley Gomez, the Customer Care Rep. The company on the check is National Interstate Insurance Company, which is a real company. When I called the number he told me to go and deposit the check and once I did to call him back to let him know so he could authorize my $200,000 check that I won second prize in the October 5th lottery. That I would receive it by FedEx on Thursday. The letter looked very legit too mentioning the top retail stores at the bottom and everything! The check looked very REAL too!! I took it to my bank and had them do some research. They could not tell either way if the check was real or not but I would get charged if the check came back. I thought I was gonna be "smart" about it and open a new checking account so they would not have any access to my account. The lady at the bank told me I should go home and do a little research before I decided to deposit it. Im glad I did!! These people need to pay for the scams they pull!! I am a single mom and the money would have so came in handy! What goes around comes around and I hope they get what they deserve!! Playing with peoples emotions is not cool at all!
