Ordered a 36" x 24" print for a Christmas present for my mother-in-law on Dec 1st. Received an email response right away with the order #.
Emailed them 12/14/2011 to ask them about my order that I still haven't received, nor received a follow up email on whether or not it has shipped. Email first bounced, then I received an auto-respone from "BestCanvas Inc." "you will definitely be receiving a response- due to a high influx of emails please allow 2-3 business days for a response." Then the email further explains "(Please note that we have two websites- canvasdiscount.com and bestcanvas.ca, in which the canvas is sent rolled and the frames detached with included instructions for easy assembly, and bestcanvas.com which pre-stretches the canvas onto the frame.)" I did not initially notice that I would be stretching the canvas myself. I should of known the price was too good to be true. Also the charge made to my card is described as "FOTOSERVICE KOELN DF". I've been buying online for a long time and this is my first ever disappointment. Canvasdiscount.com does not do good business.

  • PS. The auto-response email also states "Once an order is placed, it takes 24 hours to process and reaches our system the very next business day. Then we have 48 hours to send your purchase to you. Ground shipping takes 3-5 days."

  • Received a follow-up email by them on the 19th. Said that they would express ship my canvas. I replied to them on the 19th to tell them to cancel because I already order another print from "CanvasPeople.com" (Which was excellent BTW!) I received my package from Canvas discount today but in pieces. Even some of the wood pieces to the frame aren't fitting easily. Happy that they expressed shipped but still did not initially know I would be putting together my own canvas. If you go to their website and go through the steps to purchase there is no information available that you are putting together the canvas yourself. Only if you you were to read the page about shipping do you realize this is what they as sending you. Shame on CanvasDiscounts! Otherwise, they do great prints but fooling people is not a way to do business.

  • Thank you! I did receive an email from best canvas telling me that they now send the stretch cavas built. I'm very impressed with how Best Canvas has turned itself around in less than a year and excellent customer service. I'd be happy to try out best canvas again in the future on my next canvas needs. Thanks
