- K. Here's what I believe has happened in this situation. You unknowingly accepted a free trial offer on the site your son was on (Armor Game). This type of online marketing tactic is called a "cross-sell) and usually they use a "negative-option" check box so that you must explicitly "opt-out". Many sites use this tactic to increase affiliate sales. I agree it's subterfuge to a certain extend. But I cannot stress enough that you must read the page fully before entering any credit card info on it. Simple enough, no? This is not the fault of Games Unite. I am a member and enjoy their games and service .
