On 17 Nov 2011, I provided my Australian credit card details in response to an offer for a 12 day trial period of Revita Derm and Perfect Radiance Anti-wrinkle syrum. On that day my account was debited Aus$2.95 for the Revita Derm and Aus$2.93 for the Anti-wrinkle syrum - roughly as I expected. On 5 December 2011 a further Aus$73.35 (US$74.95) was debited against my account for "Anti-Rides syrum" while the bank charged an additional $2.20 foreign transaction fee. I contacted my bank, Westpac, who said they were well aware of the Perfect Radiance scam, but were unable to do anything to stop such payments until I'd provided 30 days notice of having done all I could to cancel the agreement with Perfect Radiance. After significant days of digging around the internet, I did stumble across a telephone number for Perfect Radiance (+44 (808) 168 3685) and spoke to someone called Fatina on 8 December who agreed to cancel the Revitaderm and Perfect Radiance contracts I had agreed to, and emailed me to confirm that I would not be charged further amounts. In light of the fact this is a scam, I would have to say their email was well written and they do indeed have people who work for the scam business - and that is kind of "sadly" reassuring somehow. I did receive one further charge of Aus$78.07 (US$79.99) (plus our bank charged an additional $2.34 foreign transaction fee) for something called "Maturelles Revitadrm" on that evening, after the contract was cancelled, but I called again today (9 November) and again managed to speak to someone who said that would "finally" be it. He said that that additional charge was something I had agreed to originally, so I couldn't avoid it. I have no way of confirming what I did or did not agree to because there is no copy of our agreement that I am aware of (if I received a receipt I do not currently have anymore) - so I am in their hands. My next step is to cancel all credit cards, but I will only do that if they try to take more money from the account. My understanding is that they may not, because although they are a scam, they try to do so within the law, and I believe from the second person I spoke to that they do actually have a warehouse - the address he gave was PO Box 13853, Linlithgow EH497AP, Westlothian UK. He actually said that I could return the product for a full refund. I asked if he really meant that, and he assured me. What I do not know is if I would get a refund of the product if I opened the product (which I did). I think I will test this anyway. The product is, by all accounts, an untested/unproven product, and most likely valueless.

  • Hi, I did the same as you and gave credit card details. I did receive the cream and am yet to use it, but probably will. Some night cream is better than none at all. I have since e-mailed and rung the company, cancelled my account. I have received both e-mail cancellation verification and also two cancellation codes over the phone. I have been assured that the two amounts that I was charged will be refunded onto my Credit card within the next 5 days. I hope so. I will certainly not be gullible enought to get any "trial only" products in the future.
