Saw an ad on craiglist for an 05 2 door honda civic for $2,680. I contacted the guy via e-mail. He gave me the excuse that he was selling it at that price because he was deploying at the end of this month and didn't want the car sitting around for so long because he'd be gone for 12 months. Being that I am in the military as well, I gave in some belief. I have all of the emails forthe confirmation number to the vehicle, the pictures from the photobucket address, the ebay motors financial department emails and all. I didn't really give in too much because I had talked to some others about it and they've done a few things through the ebay buyer and seller protection program. The only way i was to send the money was via MoneyGram. I did so yesterday. Today, I received an email about confirming the payments and receipts. I faxed everything to the number I recieved. I just got home about an hour ago to check and see if everything went through. Well, turns out that this steven hicks [email protected] deleted his email account. Now, I out of all my money and screwed over because I talked to the lady at money gram ad she told me once it goes through I won't be able to get my money back. I got screwed out of $2,845.00 and now screwed because that took months of saving in which I am now single with unpaid bills til my next pay check if I can cover it all. I really need a car to get around on this military base and around the city. Shows how much some people care about those who fight for and protect this country. I even explained to this guy that I have a daughter, fiance, bills, rent and am helping out with rent back home.

His email is still active. .I recieved a email from him this morning.. I was interested as to why the car was so cheap and this was his response.
Hey,
Thank you for your interest in my car. I am selling it because I will
soon go on a second tour in Afghanistan and I don't want it getting
old in my garage. I will be gone for the next 12 months. The price is
low because I need to sell it before we deploy, at the middle of August.
The vehicle is in great condition and runs great. It only has 63000
highway miles on it. It has never been wrecked and never smoked in. I
had serviced it only at the local dealer. Maintenance records are
available. Clear title in hand. Here you have more pics with the car

If you decide to buy it I will be paying for the shipping charges. The
total price is $2,700.00 with no other hidden taxes. Please email me
back if you are interested in buying it.

@bubbles11 well, I did end up getting a car bcuz i actually needed oone. went to a dealership where I should have the first time. I just have to build back up. I got messed over again bcuz someone got access to a whole different account of mine and emptied my savings account and i didn't find out til a few weeks later bcuz I'm usually busy being that I'm in the military.
@patdlr12 hope all goes well and you get the right transportation you need.
@jonjoiner glad ou didn't like an idiot I find out it was a scam after i sent the money. it's when I had the time to research it. The money could have went towards my struggling family back home, bills, rent, food and savings. I noticed that people tend to scam many troops. why are people so scandolous? don't they know we have lives too. I mean, we do protect and fight for this country. we sacrifice A LOT for people who don't give a crap about us, but thanks to all that do support us and keep us in prayers. thank you. -
