I applied for a position posted on Craigslist for an Admin Assistant to the CEO/President of the Boys & Girls Clubs in Worcester, MA. I received an email stating I was a good fit for the position, to follow the link and fill out a pre-screening form, and that an HR manager would then call me within 72 hrs to make an appt for an interview.
After spending quite some time thoughtfully and sincerely filling out the pre-interview form, I was directed to a credit report site. The text prior to the link stated there would be no credit info given to them, just verification of my name & address.

Luckily for me, the credit report site got locked up...so the link where they directed me failed. However, I did find the "real" site and registered there. I cancelled my membership after I realized that something was indeed amiss. I feel really dumb that I wasn't more alert to this scam. No more job searches on Craigslist for me.

Here is a copy of the email I received from them:

Hello Deb,

We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Coleman Careers & Partners. After reviewing your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company.

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at http://work-with-coleman.info or the career link on our homepage. Your applicant code is 197376.

Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.
