I purchased tickets from Craig Baker for an event called Jamboree in the Hills at the price of $125 per ticket for two tickets. I made a grave error in not reading the email all the way through in seeing craigslist recommendation not to send money through western union and did so after an exchange of approximately one dozen emails. After making several excuses for why he was unable to send the package, he claimed that his son was in a car accident and he would just refund the money as opposed to sending the tickets because they were too far away from the hospital where is son was admitted. Needless to say, they money never arrived, nor did the tickets. I have contacted local authorities and am attempting to pursue legal means of recouping my money.

  • Eric,

I called the county sheriff's office in Macclenny, FL, and they said that there is nothing that they can do on their end. They have told me to contact my local authorities here in Alexandria, VA. There is a specific fraud department that is not manned around the clock so I have to wait until tomorrow to file a claim. I don't think there is anything western union can do, have you had any luck going that route? Let's stay in touch and see if we can find this guy. I'd be happy not to get any of my money back if I could just have 10 minutes in a back alley with him. It's so frustrating. Good luck and keep me posted.

  • Eric,

Got some great news today through a couple of my connections at the sheriff's office on my end. We're going to be able to track this parasite down really without much trouble at all. Get in contact with me if you want details.

    Best,
    Dale

  • I contacted IC3.com. They were gonna forward the information to the necessary people. I wasn't sure whether or not I should report it to my police department also.

    What have they told you?

  • I contacted Western Union and they said they can't do anything, but will send the information to the police as soon as they are asked.

  • He got me too. $200 for shuttle launch tickets. Was going to meet in the Jacksonville area as I drove down from SC. First story was father in
law, then son. Supposedly mailed a refund check 2 weeks ago. Phone voicemail is full and have sent texts.
Would love to add to the pressure on this guy....

Let me know how to join in please.
