Received phone call @ (Personal Info Removed) Grandson had accident in barceoona spain & needed money to pay auto repairs.
Phn call originated from (Personal Info Removed). Person new details of g/son & convinced us that he had a broken nose. Requested money be sent to a robert conroy by western Union. Money sent WU MTCN #709 302 9649 11/25/11. Later rec,d call on cel 316 6503129 stating misinterpeted billing and money sent just covered parts, needed extra for repairs of rented auto signed by g/son. Money sent WU MTCN # 429 535 4800. Note G/son was at US Embassy.
The call back No. for the wu no, was 1-8774530535 ext 914, at all times, also to a robert conroy. Rec.d another phone call stating that his insurance was not going to pay bills for hospital & doctor.
Sent Ref.MTCN # 348 336 0482, also to a Stanley Newman. Note, reason for the different names was that the amount requested wu would not send to a relative. Call back stating all received and paid and was going back to hotel, and sleep untill his plane left at 6.00 am for the US. Next morning received another call on cel #(Personal Info Removed) stating he & his friend missed the plane to a misunderstanding of the time changes, & airlines would not exchange tickets. Note all money would be reinbursed by insurance and airlines when back in USA. On enroute to bank, I receive call from grandson, and he never left the country, and was enroute to my residence. No money was sent on the 4th request.
Local Law inforcement contacted, Case #11C519519 Wichita, Ks.
KC FBI contacted 11/26/11. Western Union contacted also on 11/26/11. I really don t believe I did this.
