I have had two incidents that gave me a huge concern as to the security and validity of this website. I joined DealFun.com on Friday, 11/25/11. I paid via my credit card, $119.00 for 350 bids. From the time I began to place bids, I was constantly redirected to their main page whenever I tried to bid on something. The next problem I experienced, which I found is a very big problem, is that when I went to review "My Account" information, I was taken to another member's profile, and not mine. I was able to see the other members user name, email address, past purchases, and bids.

I emailed DealFun's customer support on both issues and in my 2nd email telling them about their security leak issue, I requested full reimbursement of my $119.00, along with the $.52 I was charged for winning 10 "voucher bids" that I did not even bid on. I received a reply from them the next day, telling me they want me to win and that they've given me 100 bids as their resolution to my first email. I then received an email from them about my 2nd email, merely advising me that they closed that ticket as it was merged with my first complaint. I added comment to my first complain advising them that I do not want the 100 bids but want my money back and if not, then I will have no choice but to seek legal representation.

When I emailed them, I did cut and paste the other members information to my email to them so that they could see proof of their website glitch. I you need me to forward my emails to you, I will be happy to do so. I have also considered contacting that member to advise and warn them of this problem too.

I had a feeling that there might already be a class action suit pending, so it looks like I'm on the right track here. Please include me in any class action process that may be pending. I want my money back and resolution. Thank you.

  • Hi, I too was scammed by Dealfun, but fortunatly for me I came to this website and was blessed to get their phone number 855-701-2091. Call this number. They will probably try to feed you some bull like, "The weather was bad and that's why our website was slow. It would be best if yo try again later" (This is what they told me). But don't listen to them. Get your money back ASAP. I demanded a refund and drowned them with angry emails, and my money was returned to me, promptly. Don't give up! Call this number: 855-701-2091

...And demand the your money back!

  • Thank you MsAdams, for your advise and the phone #. I will most certainly be calling them tomorrow to demand my refund. I'm also going to email the person who's "my account" page I was redirected to due to their website issues, and let them know that their information is not confidential. I could not believe my eyes when I saw someone elses email address and account information when I clicked on "my account". Surely, that means my account information could have easily been by someone else too.

Thank you again. I'll drown them with emails too. I still want to be part of a class action suit, when it happens. I think it's only a matter of time.

  • Yes; it's only a matter of time. I can't believe that there are people like them out there, but I guess it just goes to show how careful we have to be with the internet. I certainly won't trust anymore bragain pop-ups anymore. That's for sure, lol.
