I got a call from (876) 365 - 7469 today asking if i was home and saying that I had won the publishers clearing house as a 3rd place winner for the thanksgiving portion of the year and they were in lancaster, CA near my house. (I live 30 min away but the caller id on my phone shows up there.) They calimed that the check was for $255,000.00. Then asked me to call a manager at (876) 389 - 6824 x5. that number whent to voicemail so i called back the first number and was told to call (876) 378 - 8593. When I called that number it sounded like the same person as the first phone call pretending to switch me from a receptionist to another person but obviously was not a different person. At that point I noticed several people in the background having the same conversations and asking for information such as name and address and check amount for verification. When he started asking me for those details I informed him that this sounded alot like phishing and he would have to give me the first letter of my last name and street name before I would give him the rest. At that point he told me that I would have to go to western union and pay them money before I could get the check. I told him that if he wanted anything from me that he would have to give me those letters first or the conversation was over. So he started cussing me out before I hung up on him.
Can you please look into these numbers.
