I wanted to join the trial membership of this site at $3.99. I was on a site that linked there for a file I was interested in downloading. I did not intent to pay for the full membership.

I was not able to log into the site after I paid the initial 3.99, so I thought that maybe my registration didn't register, so I tried it again.

Still no luck in logging in. I noticed that the website had a disclaimer, that one should log in using firefox browser or a windows based browser. I have a Mac, so I tried logging in using firefox. It didn't work.

They use PayPal for their billing, so I used my PayPal account, which is tied to my Bank of America debit card.

I received two confirmation emails from their "support" service, for the initial $3.99 trial membership, and then $19.99 for the full membership, which I never requested. So from both email confirmations, I was double charged for the service, which due to my inability to log in, is worthless.

I sent two reply emails demanding reimbursement, and that I would report them to PayPal as well as to the FBI.

I never received a reply. There's no way to contact them on their website.

I checked my BofA account and the deductions were made. I intend to dispute the charges with my bank as well, but they shouldn't have to pay for this, even though I believe they will if I dispute.

  • I should also add that I normally check websites for fraud activity. I didn't in this case, which I should have. After the fact I googled sharingzone net fraud and found out that several people had the exact same experience with them.

If you're going to buy something on the internet, make sure you do this simple google search. I've done it several times for websites I was unfamiliar with, and found complaints. If I find multiple complaints, chances are I will be ripped off. I wish I had followed my own advice on this particular ripoff.
