Subj: fraudulent activity


Gentlemen:

I believe I have been defrauded by someone from Ghana. I have been approached by some one calling herself Lawer Linda Mauwginuwua. She approached me using the dating service singlesnet.com. This began approximately two and a half month ago. She promised me that she would come be with me if I paid her airplane ticket and her visa/passport fee, which I did. Then she said there would be a declaration fee of $4000 before she could leave the country. She said she would pay one half and I would pay one half which I did. Then she says he can come up with $1000 of her half and asks me to send her the other $1000 which I did. After that she told me that she was arrested at the Accra airport for trying to transport gold, inherited from her late father, from the country without proper documentation. She then asked me, through her lawyer, for $600 to get the two documents she need to get out of jail. One is a marriage certificate and the other a purported gold certificate transferring it to my name. She then comes back saying she needs and additional $500 to get her out of jail and get the gold certificate transferred in my name which I sent. Now, I believe all the documents to be fraudulent. I am not even sure there is a Lawer Linda Mauwginuwua living in Accra, Ghana. She gave me her address as Kanda Hwy. Route 2, Accra, Ghana 00233. The phone number she gave is 233549538344. She called me three or four times asking for money. She used a man named Mike Benson who she said was an embassy employee to confirm who she said she was. The email address she gave for the embassy is [email protected].
The lawyers email is [email protected]. He said his name is Jack Moore. I am not sure there is anybody by those names living in Accra, Ghana. I am attaching pictures of Linda and several certificates and passports she sent to me. I desperately need your help to recover my stolen money and to put a stop to this kind of misconduct in your country. It has cost me $6300 plus $124.90 in transfer costs. Your help in getting my money back will be greatly appreciated. Not only did they steal my money, they broke my heart something awful. I will never get over this lady whether she exists or not. My worry is that she may not be aware that these pirates are using her photos in such a fraudulent way. If she is for real, I sure would like you to tell me how I can get in touch with her. She broke my heart into a million pieces.

I am soon to be 72 years old and feel that I have been swindled. This is just awful and I cannot afford to lose this much money. I will be looking at legal remedies but do not have much hope if Linda is not a real citizen of Ghana. I would like you to do all that you can to help me.
