I responded to a Facebook advertisment about African Mango and Metaburn weight loss pills and ordered and paid for the trial tablets on 26th October. I have still not received them. Then on 14th November, I noticed a charge of $74.03 and $84.18 was made to my credit card without my authorisation. I tried calling the company but many of the phone numbers provided (8 out of the 9 Australia wide) did not connect to anywhere. I finally got through to someone who could barely speak English and was very difficult to understand. I also emailed the company asking for a refund and to cancel my subscription. I have been given some convoluted cancellation numbers but no monies have been credited to my credit card yet. I have been told by the company - via email - that it will take 10 - 14 days for the refund to show - which I think are further stalling techniques and lies to buy themselves more time. My bank was not very helpful as I was told that they could not stop any of the transactions or charges taken out by this fraudulent group, as I had personally provided my credit card number authorising the payment for the initial trial product. This is a headache that I do not need! Where to now?
