In mid-June, I had a flash on my internet to fill out a survey in exchange for free gifts. I did the survey and chose a FREE "FITMAX Health Sports Bracelet". I was to pay the S & H of $8.95 which I agreed to do. They slipped in an extra $2.49 for expedited shipping, which I couldn't figure out how to cancel, so I accepted. My credit card was charged these 2 charges on 6/17/18 under the notation: REVITALIZELABS 888-233-2106.
I received the Fitmax Band the next week, shipped from: FDC Shipping, PO Box 61553, Savannah, GA 31419. Within the box was the band, but not the "Clip Cable" designed to use for charging the device, plus a small "User Guide". Upon reading the instructions and following them, I was unable to get the band to turn on, even after using the USB charging option through my computer and later with a plug-in USB charging device. No other instructions or notice of Membership charges were enclosed or sent to me via email.
Since I could not find a way to activate the band, I prepared to call the company to complain. Then today, 07/05/18, I received an email from my cr cd company noting an additional charge on my account: REVITALIZELABS $59.95 Declined July 5
Fortunately, my cr cd company spotted this as a possible fraud, declined to pay, and alerted me! In talking with them, they agreed to permanently block any charges from RevitalizeLabs as well as an affiliated company called BRT Trading, who were trying to re-charge my cr cd for the $8.95 for shipping!
Then I called the phone # given for customer service for revitalizelabs which was 888-233-2106. There I was told that if I wanted to "cancel" my membership, which I did not authorize, I would need to send back the product (Free bracelet) at my own expense and they would cancel my charge for the bracelet, which was either $59.95 once (or maybe monthly?). She gave me an RMA# (Returned Merchandise Account # of: 976-257-231-433-5837).
They were polite, but to me, this was a complete scam and fraud! I alerted the woman (Eva) that I would be reporting their scheme.
