Purchased this for extra holiday cleaning help. Called on 11/1 to schedule 1 month after purchasing the groupon on 9/29, and they said they would call back. 2 weeks later, still no call-back so I called them again on 11/17, and they said there was an 8 week backlog, so i could schedule my holiday cleaning for January 16, and I must pay Gratuite of $20 and Taxes of $20 to the cleaners for 3 hours, even though I already paid $59. This brings it to a total of $99 for 3 hours, so no longer a bargain. I dont think its legal to call it "taxes" if they are not actually paying this as tax money to state or local agencies. Also they claim the "taxes" are due on the full, imaginary "value" rather than the actual amount paid, which is not how taxes work anywhere at any level, so this is clearly an added FEE or SURCHARGE and not "taxes". A gratuity is voluntary, which this fee is not voluntary so that is a lie. The fixed gratuite FEE or SURCHARGE should be clearly stated in the groupon before purchase so that we can consider this in our price calculations.

After much wrangling with the rather aggressive groupon customer representative, they eventually honored there "no hassle, its that easy" refund policy. whew... that was NOT easy. Groupon should take more care that to be more truthful and accurate with regard to availability and extra hidden costs/fees/surcharges or mandatory "gratuities", not just take money and wash their hands of what they sold.
