I contacted Optima Tax Relief in March 2017 about filing my back taxes. I was attracted to them because of their claim of being very successful at getting significant reductions of back taxes, interest and penalties owed. They claimed to be consummate professionals who could end my night mares with IRS. We agreed upon a price of $3000 for them to file and negotiate a reduction of interest and penalties etc. for my 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016 Taxes.

There service SUCKED was very unprofessional. Nobody seemed to know where my info was or if someone was working on it. I probably had one dozen people working on my case. Nobody seemed to know what the status was when I called for an update. One person who was assigned to my case was fired or left the company and nobody knew what had been done because no notes were made to my account.

Because of this three-ring circus it took approximately seven months to get my work completed. After the forms were filled out supposedly they couldn't tell me how much the interest and penalties were going to be. After a few weeks of that BS, It was suggested that we submit the forms with payments for taxes due then let IRS tell us what the Interest and penalties would be. Against my better judgement, I went along with the recommendation.

Under no circumstances did I, agree to close my case. One would have to be a retard or have been scammed into closing a case when only half of the paid work had been done. On top of that, the most significant portion not being done. Hell, I could have used Turbo Tax myself to do 2012 thru 2016. I’m willing to bet that I’m not the only customer burned with that SCAM.

When I got a notice from IRS addressing my interest and penalties etc. I sent the information to Optima Tax Relief and they were non-responsive for ten days. Despite me calling them every day. Each day the rep would take message and tell me some would call me back which never happen. On 2/26 I finally got a call from the repI was referred to, her response was the case was closed. She said I agreed to close the case. I deny this bullshit. Just think a minute, why would a person in his right mind agree to close a case paid for, with only half of the job done and that half being the most important part. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

This an example of bullshit tactics utilized by this scammer to defraud unsuspecting consumers out of hard earned cash. Tell me why would a honest company would allow a client to close a case for which only half of the work paid for had been done? The bottom line is, Optima Tax Relief has become a bottom feeder, who will do anything to scam its customers by providing inferior service and defrauding them by using tricks and scams to get paid for work not done. BUYER BE AWARE! Scam Artist At Work!
