I got a pop-up on my laptop screen on November 21,2017. It said it was Microsoft and that there was a Malicious Software and that my computer was frozen, to call 1-855-325-1775 immediately. I called and spoke to Jordan Williams @ ext.406, he said he was from Microsoft and that my laptop has a malicious software that has froze my computer. He said that it would cost me $419.95 to remove the virus and fix the problem. He told me to write a check for $419.95 to Tech Mart Live Solutions and to put it in my printers' scanner. He scanned the check and a technician named Elliot got on the phone. They claimed that they were technicians for Microsoft. Claimed it would take about an hour for them to fix the problem and accessed my computer. Upon completion they called and said they finished and the problem was resolved, putting their phone number on the screen of my computer if I had a problem. Upon thinking about it, I called Microsoft and they said that I has been scammed. I immediately went to my bank and stopped payment on the check and closed my account. Now they are calling about their check and leaving messages. I am ignoring them. Waiting for Microsoft to help me fix my computer though.
