I made reservations for the AABE conference through their website. I thought the link was to the hotel but it was through Reservation Desk.com. When we reached the conference, we realized our room charges were twice the price of the conference rate. We immediately called Reservation Desk and they stated it was too late to cancel the reservation but if they spoke with the hotel manager and confirmed what the rate should be, they would adjust the bill. Reservation Desk kept saying the hotel manager would not approve adjusting the rate, which was a lie. When I talked to a supervisor, David, ID 100522, he was very rude and said I agreed to the amount and it would not be refunded. So they were basically lying the entire time. If your confirmation ever indicates the reservation was made through Reservation Desk.com, cancel it!

Update: 04/05/2017

The hotel stay was $2043 not $4000 but I could not figure out how to correct it. The rate charged was $434 but the conference rate was $219,
